LAGOS, Nigeria — Popular Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has raised concerns about the presence of armed police officers at her Lagos residence early Tuesday morning. She claims that she was not informed of their arrival and fears for her safety. In a video shared on social media, Ogala described how officers surrounded her home, alleging that the deployment was orchestrated by Pastor Chris Okafor, the founder of Grace Nation International Ministry. She accused the clergyman of attempting to arrest and imprison her without the presence of her legal representative.
“I have police people in my house. I don’t know how they entered my house. They said they’re from Lagos. Chris doesn’t want to leave me alone. He has carried me to three different courts and more than seven police stations,” Ogala stated. She further warned the public to hold Pastor Okafor responsible if she goes missing, framing the situation as part of a prolonged legal and personal conflict.
The dispute between Ogala and Pastor Okafor dates back to late 2024, when a video of Okafor’s engagement to Pearl Okafor went viral. Ogala publicly accused the pastor of ending their years-long relationship to marry a younger woman. Although Okafor did not deny the allegations, he reportedly paid Ogala $10,000 in settlement. As of now, authorities have not commented on the incident or confirmed the officers’ deployment. The case has garnered public attention amid growing concerns over the intersection of celebrity, religion, and law enforcement in Nigeria.
