Osimhen Leads Galatasaray to 3-0 Win Over Fenerbahçe

Victor Osimhen highlighted Galatasaray’s collective effort after the club secured a 3‑0 league victory over Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe on Sunday, according to Media Talk Africa. The win comes as the Turkish side rebounds from a Turkish Cup quarter‑final loss to Gençlerbirliği last week.

The match, played at the Rams Park, saw the 27‑year‑old striker open the scoring in the 40th minute. Osimhen’s goal gave Galatasaray the early advantage they needed against a traditionally strong Fenerbahçe side. In the second half, Barış Yılmaz added a second goal, followed by Lucas Torreira’s finish to complete the rout.

Speaking to Fanatik after the game, Osimhen said, “We fought well as a team. We disappointed our fans in the cup. I’m proud of my team’s performance and happy about the victory.” The forward’s comments reflected both satisfaction with the league result and acknowledgement of the recent cup disappointment.

Osimhen’s contribution brings his tally to 20 goals across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds this season. His scoring form has been integral to Galatasdale’s push for a fourth consecutive Süper Lig title. The club now holds a seven‑point lead at the top of the table with three matches remaining in the regular season.

Manager Okan Buruk, who guided the side back to winning ways after the cup setback, praised the team’s resilience. The victory also marks Galatasaray’s first league win over Fenerbahçe since the 2021‑22 season, underscoring the significance of the result for both the club and its supporters.

Looking ahead, Galatasaray’s next fixture is against Samsunspor. A win would further solidify their position at the summit and keep the momentum building toward a potential title clinch.

The 3‑0 triumph not only restores confidence after the cup exit but also reinforces Galatasaray’s dominance in the domestic league. Continued strong performances will be crucial as the team aims to secure the championship with games to spare.
