BUA Cement Honors Top Distributors at 2025 Lagos Awards

BUA Cement Plc honoured its highest‑performing distributors across Nigeria at the 2025 Distributors’ Awards ceremony held on 23 March at the Eko Hotels and Suites Convention Centre, Lagos. The event recognised 30 distributors in four categories – Regional Champions, Pacesetters, Powerhouse and Market Dominators – and presented cash prizes, vehicles and cement bags to the winners.

The two top‑ranking distributors each received a cash award and two compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks. Other leading distributors were given a single CNG truck together with monetary rewards. Ten distributors were presented with brand‑new 2025 Toyota RAV4 SUVs and cash prizes, while each Regional Champion was awarded 900 bags of cement.

Managing Director Engr. Yusuf Binji addressed the gathering, praising the distributors for their commitment and resilience. “BUA Cement values its distributors and consistently provides incentives to motivate greater results. We see you, we value you, and we are working tirelessly to improve our supply chain to make your businesses safer and more profitable,” he said.

Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu, CFR, CON, described the ceremony as an acknowledgement of the distributors’ loyalty and performance. “Their role goes beyond selling cement; they are key contributors to socio‑economic development across the country,” he remarked, adding that Nigeria’s expanding population offers distributors further opportunities to increase their impact.

Rabiu outlined upcoming production capacity expansions, noting the commissioning of Line 6 at the Sokoto plant and the planned 3 million‑tonne per annum Ososo facility. He announced that all dealers will receive a N30 per‑bag bonus on volumes purchased in 2025, allocating N4.5 billion for the incentive.

The awards attracted senior industry figures, including Chairman of the Dangote Group Aliko Dangote, and underscored BUA Cement’s focus on strengthening partnerships throughout its value chain. By recognising distributor achievements and announcing additional support measures, the company signalled its commitment to sustaining growth and meeting rising market demand in Nigeria.
