Major players in Nigeria’s telecom and tech sectors are rallying behind the 16th edition of the Nigeria DigitalSENSE Forum on Internet Governance for Development (IG4D), set to take place in Lagos. The event, organized by ITREALMS Media and hosted by DigitalSENSE Africa—an ICANN-certified At-Large Structure—will explore the theme: ‘Sustaining WSIS Vision with Multi-stakeholder Synergy in Nigeria.’

Confirmed corporate backers include MTN Nigeria, the Association of Licensed Telecoms Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), Upperlink Limited, and the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA). Their participation signals a strong industry commitment to advancing internet governance and digital infrastructure.

Ogbuefi Remmy Nweke, Lead Convener of NDSF and Group Executive Editor of ITREALMS Media Group, said the 2026 forum will chart a critical path for leveraging local multi-stakeholder collaboration to sustain World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) frameworks. The goal is to accelerate Nigeria’s digital public infrastructure (DPI) and domain economy, ensuring the country remains competitive in the global digital landscape.
