Infinimmune has raised $75 million in Series A financing to advance its antibody therapeutics pipeline, with the round co-led by Regeneron Ventures and Playground Global. Several new and existing investors also participated. The biotechnology company plans to use the capital to prepare its two lead candidates, IFX-101 and IFX-201, for first-in-human studies expected to begin in 2027. Both programmes target atopic dermatitis, a chronic inflammatory skin condition. IFX-101 targets interleukin-22 and is described as a potential first-in-class monoclonal antibody, while IFX-201 targets interleukin-13 and is being developed as a potentially best-in-class treatment option.
The funding follows strong progress across Infinimmune’s discovery platform. Its Anthrobody platform screens millions of single memory B cells across hundreds of targets to identify naturally paired human antibodies with useful therapeutic properties. The company then uses its GLIMPSE antibody language models to guide candidate optimisation, targeting improvements in potency, specificity, half-life and developability. This human-first approach starts with antibodies generated naturally through human immune responses, differing from methods that rely heavily on synthetic antibody libraries.
In March 2026, Infinimmune entered a multi-target antibody discovery collaboration with Merck valued at up to approximately $838 million in upfront and potential milestone payments. The partnership focuses on the Anthrobody platform and GLIMPSE technology, providing further validation for the company’s discovery strategy. Playground Global has supported Infinimmune since its founding, and Regeneron Ventures’ participation brings additional expertise as the company prepares for clinical development.
The new financing strengthens Infinimmune’s ability to deploy its platform at greater scale and advance additional programmes beyond atopic dermatitis. The company’s technology is designed to identify antibodies across hundreds of potential therapeutic targets, creating opportunities to build a broader pipeline. With the Series A capital and the Merck collaboration, Infinimmune is positioned to move its lead programmes into clinical testing and expand its pipeline across a wide range of targets. The upcoming human trials will provide the first major assessment of its candidates in patients and could shape the company’s broader development trajectory.
