The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State has unveiled a new campaign leadership structure as it prepares for the 2027 general Elections. The party announced the appointment of former Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sani Tadurga, as Director-General of its Campaign Council.
The decision was ratified by the ADC governorship candidate, Abubakar Malami, SAN, following extensive consultations with stakeholders across the state. Malami, a former Attorney General of the Federation, is leading the party’s ticket in the northwestern state.
To ensure balanced representation, the party named three Deputy Directors-General, each drawn from one of Kebbi’s three senatorial districts. Architect Bala Sani Kangiwa will oversee operations in Kebbi North, Hon. Shehu Aliyu Sambawa takes charge of Kebbi Central, while Alhaji Aliyu Jibrin Bagaruwa leads the campaign in Kebbi South. Barrister Aminu Bunza was appointed Secretary of the state Campaign Council.
Party officials said the appointments are designed to strengthen the campaign architecture and improve coordination across the state’s 21 local government areas. The new leadership is expected to leverage their legislative experience, professional networks, and grassroots influence to mobilize support for the ADC platform.
In a statement, the party urged the appointees to approach their roles with commitment, unity, and dedication as political activities accelerate ahead of the next electoral cycle. The move signals the ADC’s intent to mount a competitive challenge in a state historically dominated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Political analysts note that the ADC’s strategy reflects a growing trend among smaller parties to professionalize their structures early, rather than relying solely on election-season alliances. With Malami’s national profile and the appointees’ local roots, the party aims to translate organizational discipline into electoral viability.
The campaign council is expected to inaugurate its zonal and ward-level structures in the coming weeks, beginning a sustained outreach effort targeting youth, women, and professional groups across Kebbi’s diverse communities.
