NNPP’s victory in Kano result of skillful campaign – Oguntoyinbo

Ambassador Olufemi Oguntoyinbo, the gubernatorial candidate of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ogun State, has declared that the victory of Yusuf Abba, the party’s candidate in Kano State, is a manifestation of his popularity in the state.

Oguntoyinbo made this disclosure on Tuesday via a statement made available to journalists.

Media Talk Africa recalls that Abba was declared the winner of the gubernatorial election held in Kano State. In the election conducted in all the 44 local government areas of the state, Abba scored a total of 1,019,602 votes to defeat all other candidates.

Yusuf Gawuna of All Progressives Congress (APC), scored a total of 890,705 votes.

Oguntoyinbo, while reacting, insisted that the people of Kano have demonstrated their trust and confidence in the governor-elect.

Oguntoyinbo in the statement sent to Media Talk Africa on Tuesday, maintained that the victory of the NNPP candidate in Kano was a lesson for all, that everyone matters in politics, particularly the masses.

Oguntoyinbo maintained that Abba’s feat was a manifestation of his popularity among his people, noting that his victory was as a result of the sagacity, hard work, teamwork, skillful campaigns, efficient resource allocation, openness and the humility exhibited by the governor-elect and his team.
