Tinubu victory: Nigeria now more authoritarian – Sam Amadi

The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Dr. Sam Amadi has claimed that “Nigeria has become more authoritarian” since the president-elect, Bola Tinubu was declared winner of the February 25 presidential election.

In a statement contained in a post via his Twitter handle on Monday, Amadi lamented that the development is frightening.

Amadi further alleged that what he described as a “form of political illegitimacy” was responsible, and that it brings anxiety.

He wrote, “It is frightening that Nigeria has become more authoritarian since @officialABAT was declared President-Elect. Nothing explains this irony than a certain form of political illegitimacy and the anxiety it brings.”
