Samuel Chukwueze of the Super Eagles has impressed Real Madrid this season and could leave Villarreal if the Spanish giants make a tempting offer. The Nigerian forward scored twice in Villarreal’s 3‑2 victory at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday, a performance that may help him secure a move to the capital. According to Marca, Real Madrid’s president Florentino Pérez envisions Chukwueze on one flank opposite Vinícius Júnior on the other.

Villarreal will soon need to decide Chukwueze’s future, as his contract expires in 2024. He has a €100 million buyout clause, but reports from Goal.com suggest the club might accept half that amount at the end of the season. Real Madrid could be looking to bolster their attack this summer; Marco Asensio is out of contract, and Carlo Ancelotti has said he “doesn’t care” whether the forward signs a new deal. Eden Hazard’s future is also uncertain, with the Belgian again struggling for minutes at the Bernabéu.

Chukwueze made history by becoming the first player since Lionel Messi in April 2017 to complete seven successful dribbles in a La Liga match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu (seven out of eight attempts).
