Onigbinde upbeat Doma United will get campaign back on track after defeat to Dakkada

Doma United head coach, Akinade Onigbinde, believes their State Federation Cup success can restore the team to winning ways in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Savannah Tigers defeated arch-rivals Gombe United in the state final this week.

Onigbinde’s side’s three-game unbeaten streak in the NPFL was halted by Dakkada last week.

He stressed that the defeat to Dakkada was a letdown, but the FA Cup victory will be a morale booster for the side.

“Our FA Cup win against Gombe United will definitely bring us back on track,” Onigbinde told Media Talk Africa.

“Losing to Dakkada in that manner is painful to us all, and we need this victory to bring us back on track.

“We are rearing to go again, and we are confident about achieving our target of making the Super Six.”

Doma United will welcome relegation strugglers Wikki Tourists to the Pantami Stadium on Sunday for their matchday 14 encounter.
