Rivers United shift focus to CAF Confederation Cup

Rivers United have shifted their focus to the CAF Confederation Cup as they host Young Africans of Tanzania at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.

The Nigeria Premier Football League champions were last in action against Dakkada FC on Monday morning.

The Pride of Rivers are second on the Group B log, three points ahead of leaders, Lobi Stars.

Stanley Eguma’s side is unbeaten at home in the CAF Confederation Cup this season.

A big win in this tie will make the return leg at the Benjamin Nkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam a mere formality.

Rivers United are looking to become the first Nigerian club to win the CAF Confederation Cup.
