Rivers United’s Liberian duo ruled out of Young Africans tie

Liberian duo of Albert Korvah and Mark Theo Gibson will miss the CAF Confederations Cup quarter-final tie between Rivers United and Young Africans of Tanzania.

Korvah, who got his first goal for the Pride of Rivers in the 1-0 win against Dakkada last week, is cup-tied alongside his compatriot Gibson.

The players featured for Watanga FC of Liberia in the competition earlier this season.

Both players joined Rivers United during the mid-season break to fortify the squad.

Rivers United will host Young Africans in the first leg at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.

The second leg will take place next week Sunday at the Benjamin Nkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
