Al-Hilal manager responds to questions on Messi’s visit to Saudi

Al-Hilal coach, Ramon Diaz has responded to the question of Lionel Messi’s arrival at the club.

Although the manager tried to dodge the question, he said the situation would be clearer in the coming weeks.

He said what is of utmost importance at the moment is for his team to focus their energy on their upcoming match against Urawa Reds at Saitama Stadium in the AFC Champions League final.

Lionel Messi is set to exit the French club this summer and has been linked with a surprise move to Al-Hilal.

Messi is also linked with a move to Barcelona and US side Inter Miami, with rumours of a move to Manchester City also being circulated.

The Saudi side is holding talks with his agent and father, Jorge Messi and is hoping to win the Premier player’s signature,

However, Diaz is not thinking about the possible move and wants to focus on the next match.

“Now we’re focused on the game. We have the final and after the final, we’ll see what’s going to happen,” he said, according to Reuters

Messi is currently serving a two-week suspension handed to him by PSG for an unauthorized visit to Saudi Arabia.
