Eppa community begs Niger govt to intervene in perennial land dispute

Residents of Eppa community in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State have appealed to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and other relevant authorities to wade into the land crisis between them and the Eti Sheshi community.

The dispute between the two communities has reportedly claimed three lives.

Media Talk Africa learnt that the last dispute that took place on Saturday resulted in the death of one Saidu Alhassan, even as the district head of Mokwa, Ndalele Mokwa, Muhammadu Shaba, was allegedly stabbed several times.

Despite the recent intervention of the Council Chairman, Abdullahi Jibrin Muregi, the situation, according to community members, keeps deteriorating.

They also claimed that several attempts made to reach the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Ketso, to intervene on the matter, were allegedly frustrated by his aides and friends.
