Gombe United Coach, Aliyu Zubairu, believes there are no favourites in Federation Cup Clash Against Warri Wolves

Gombe United head coach, Aliyu Zubairu, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to progress to the next round of the Federation Cup despite their opponents, Warri Wolves.

The two teams will be facing each other in a highly anticipated match at the Goal Project pitch in Abuja on Wednesday.

Fielding questions from reporters at a pre-match press conference, Zubairu emphasised the belief that every team that has made it to this stage of the competition has an equal chance of winning.

According to Zubairu, his team’s ultimate goal is to win the tournament, and they will be going into the game with that mindset.

“We are playing against a good team, and we have a lot of respect for them. We know that they are a threat, but we are also a good team,” Zubairu said.

“We have prepared well, and the players are ready. We just have to be careful and focused. We will study their style of play, and we will use the right tactics to get the desired result.”

Zubairu, who has been in charge of Gombe United for over two years, also urged his players to be disciplined and not give away any cheap goals.

Gombe United has never won the Federation Cup since its inception, but Zubairu is confident they can go all the way this year.
