Sultan of Sokoto declares: Bola Tinubu’s inauguration is inevitable

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, has asserted that the inauguration of President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on May 29th is inevitable and cannot be prevented.

Speaking at a roundtable engagement with traditional and religious leaders organized by the World Bank on Wednesday in Abuja, Abubakar urged Nigerians to pray fervently for Tinubu’s administration to succeed for the progress of the nation.

According to him, “There must be change because in the next few days or weeks there will be a new government; what can we contribute to that government to stabilize? Whether anybody likes it or not, the inauguration will take place and there will be a new government on May 29th, so what can we do besides prayers, because we believe in the Almighty, we believe in God that gives and takes. After that so what? What do we do to help the government stabilize and move the country forward?”

The monarch then advised Nigerians to come together, united as one, to work towards ensuring equity and justice in the country.
