Plateau State Police Threaten Miscreants Plotting to Disrupt Inauguration

The Plateau State Police Command has issued a stern warning to miscreants and other troublemakers who plan to disrupt the gubernatorial inauguration ceremony scheduled for May 29, 2023. The Command cautioned that anyone found to be planning any activity that could cause a breach of the peace during the event would be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo, disclosed that adequate security measures have been put in place to prevent any breaches of public peace, adding that the Commissioner of Police, Bartholomew Onyeka, has advised those without a legitimate role in the ceremony to stay away from the venue.

As part of the Command’s strategy to ensure a hitch-free event, members of the public have been urged to report any suspicious persons or movements to the appropriate authorities.

The police statement emphasized the need for parents, community leaders, religious leaders, guardians and traditional rulers to advise their children, subjects, and congregants not to participate in any action or plan that could compromise public safety and peace during the inauguration ceremony.

In summary, the Plateau State Police Command is prepared to ensure a peaceful and safe gubernatorial inauguration, and anyone caught disrupting public order will face the full consequences of their actions.
