Kano Governor-elect Declares Assets Ahead of Inauguration

Abba Kabir-Yusuf, the Kano State Governor-elect, has submitted a completed form detailing his assets and liabilities to the Code of Conduct Bureau’s Kano office on Friday. The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor-elect, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, issued a statement regarding this development. Kabir-Yusuf said that his earnest declaration of assets is a demonstration of transparency and accountability that will form the bedrock of the incoming administration in Kano State.

Kabir-Yusuf met with the CCB State Director, Hadiza Larai-Ibrahim to submit the form and declared that public service is a calling and a service to humanity. He expressed his readiness to serve having won the confidence of the good people of Kano State, adding that under his watch every kobo of the public fund spent will not only be justifiable but accountable.

Furthermore, Kabir-Yusuf assured the public that all officials that will serve in his administration, including political appointees, will be mandated to declare their assets as required by the law. With the submission of his assets and liabilities, Kabir-Yusuf believes the coast is now clear for the journey of restoration of sustainable development in all sectors of Kano state.

It is evident that Kabir-Yusuf is taking great strides to usher in a transparent and accountable administration that serves the people of Kano State.
