Ebonyi State Governor Redeploys 15 Permanent Secretaries

In a bid to enhance operation and service delivery in the public sector of Ebonyi State, Governor Francis Nwifuru has approved the redeployment of 15 Permanent Secretaries to various ministries in the state. The move comes after the former governor of the state, David Umahi, sacked 17 Permanent Secretaries, retaining only 15 of them to work with the present administration led by Nwifuru.

The redeployed Permanent Secretaries are expected to bring in fresh perspectives and ideas to their new positions, which will translate to a better performance of these ministries. Some of the new postings include Mrs Joy Mbam to the Ministry of Lands and Survey, Ogbonnaya Ota to the Ministry of Internal Security, and Mrs Felicia Arusi to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor and made available to newsmen in the capital, Abakaliki. According to the statement, Nkwuda Monday was deployed to the Ministry of Works and Transport, Chukwuma Ojiogu to the Ministry of Power, and Mrs Uzoma Betty to the Public Procurement Council, among others.

It is hoped that this move will provide a much-needed boost to the public sector, enhance service delivery, and ultimately benefit the people of Ebonyi State. It is commendable to see the new administration taking decisive steps towards improving governance and the provision of essential services in the state.
