The Confederation of African Football President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, has expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the late Clive Barker, a prominent figure in South African football who passed away recently in Durban.
In a statement released by CAF, Dr Motsepe extended his sympathies to the family, friends, colleagues, the South Africa Football Association and the entire African football community for the loss of a great football personality.
Clive Barker will always be remembered for leading South Africa to their first and only continental triumph in the CAF Africa Cup of Nations in 1996. He also played a significant role in helping the team qualify for their first FIFA World Cup in 1998.
