Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, faces an almost insurmountable challenge in his quest to secure the services of a world-class striker.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Dutchman is now left with a mere £65m from their transfer budget.
The Red Devils have already agreed on the initial £55million deal to sign Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount, with an additional £5m in potential add-ons.
However, with the ongoing takeover saga looming in the background, the club’s budget for this summer’s transfer window remains relatively tight.
This financial constraint has severely limited Ten Hag’s options, leaving him with just £65m to spend on acquiring a new striker. Sources close to the former Ajax boss suggest that this amount is “nowhere near enough” to meet his requirements.
