Ganduje Dollar Clip: Kano Anti-Corruption Commission Announces Breakthrough in Investigation

The Kano Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has made significant progress in its investigation into the Dollar Video Clip involving former Governor Umar Ganduje. Chairman of the Commission, Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado, announced to the press on Tuesday that forensic experts have been invited to carefully analyze the video clip and its contents.

Addressing the media, Muhyi highlighted the immense interest the people of Kano have in the controversy surrounding Ganduje and the alleged video. He emphasized that the Commission is committed to getting to the bottom of the matter and holding those responsible accountable.

The Chairman reiterated that the Commission has the necessary legal authority to thoroughly investigate the Ganduje Dollar Video Clip. He dismissed claims that there is a court case related to the investigation, as it has no bearing on their independent inquiry.

Reassuring the public of the Commission’s intentions, Muhyi stated that it is not attempting to blackmail anyone but is instead working on behalf of the people of Kano, who deserve to know the truth about the situation.

Regarding the recent arrest of Ganduje’s former Commissioner for Works in connection with an alleged N1 billion 30 roads maintenance fraud, Muhyi explained that the money was misappropriated under a unilateral directive, without the completion of the designated projects.

Muhyi confirmed that the former Commissioner and two other individuals are currently in the custody of the agency and will be taken to court once the investigation is concluded.
