Work in teams, share knowledge on research, tech innovations – NBTE to Poly Lecturers

The Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE Professor Idris Bugaje, has challenged Polytechnic lecturers recently trained in research and innovation for impact to work as a team and share knowledge gained with others in their various institutions.

Advising participants at the training organised by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), the NBTE boss described the training as an important event in the history of Polytechnics in the area of research and innovation promotion.

“I have also been told that what we have here in Innov8 Hub, will be replicated in selected polytechnics across the country. This is the best way to go.”

18 lecturers had undergone an intensive two-week programme, where they were trained with the tools to commercialize their research and develop solutions to real-world problems that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
