Zazzau emir appoints ex-NBAIS Registrar as JNI chairman

The Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bamalli, has approved the appointment of Prof. Mohammed-Shafiu Abdullahi, as the new Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, Kaduna State.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued by Abdullahi Aliyu-Kwarbai, the Media and Publicity Officer of the Zazzau Emirate Council, on Tuesday in Zaria, Kaduna State.

Mr Aliyu-Kwarbai said that Mr Abdullahi’s appointment by the royal father, was part of the decisions taken during a stakeholders meeting, on Monday at the emirate.

The appointee was the immediate past acting Registrar of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, NBAIS, Kaduna.

Mr Abdullahi, a traditional title holder, (the Wakilin Makarantar Zazzau), is a Professor of Arabic from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

The emirate also approved the immediate termination of appointments of all principal officers of Jama’atu School of Health Technology, Zaria, a subsidiary of JNI.

Meanwhile, the Emir also approved the appointments of Isiyaku Abbas, as the new Sole Administrator of the school, while Aliyu Zakari is to serve as the Registrar of the institution.

Others appointed are; Abdulhamid Sambo as Chief Accountant of the school, Sai’du Dogara, Acting Secretary of the JNI, Lardin Zazzau (Zazzau Province).

According to the statement, appointments are with immediate effect.
