Former President Buhari Celebrates Babangida at 82: A Legacy Etched in Gold

Former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has paid tribute to the exceptional qualities of retired General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, as he reaches the milestone age of 82.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Buhari hailed Babangida as an exemplary military officer whose name is etched in the golden pages of Nigeria’s history.

He expressed, “On the occasion of his 82nd birthday, former President Muhammadu Buhari extends his heartfelt wishes to former military President Ibrahim Babangida.”

He continued, “He commends him as an outstanding officer who had a visionary plan for the development of the federal capital city, Abuja, and our great nation.”

The former President conveyed his best wishes for General Babangida’s continued good health and longevity.

Babangida served as Head of State from 1985 to 1993.
