APC Appoints Ali Dalori as Deputy National Chairman (North)

In a recent development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the appointment of Ali Dalori, the former Borno chairman of the party, as the Deputy National Chairman (North). The decision was made by the National Working Committee (NWC) during their meeting in Abuja.

Ajibola Bashir, the APC National Secretary, confirmed the appointment while addressing the press at the end of the NWC meeting. He also revealed that Malam Garba Muhammadu has been appointed as the APC National Vice-Chairman (North-West), and Dr Mary Idele as the National Women Leader.

Furthermore, Prof. Abdul Kana has been appointed as the National Legal Adviser, Mr Donates Nwankpa as the National Welfare Secretary, Duro Meseko as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary, and Ikani Okolo as the Zonal Organising Secretary for the North-Central region.

Mr Bashir emphasized that these appointments were necessary to fill the vacancies left by the resignation and death of the national welfare officer of the party. He stated, “The NEC during its last meeting empowered the NWC to fill the existing vacancies… We have elected the following persons to fill the existing vacant positions.”

Regarding the upcoming off-season governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi, Mr Bashir mentioned that the APC is currently working on plans to set up campaign councils for these states.
