Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has called on Nigerians of all religious backgrounds to embrace true brotherhood and compassion for humanity in their daily lives. According to Governor Radda, this will greatly contribute to national peace, unity, and integration in our diverse society.

The governor made this plea while extending his warm greetings to Muslims in the state, as well as across the country and around the world, on the occasion of the 2023 Eid-il-Maulud celebration.

During the Maulud religious festivity, Governor Radda emphasized that it is an opportunity for Muslims to honor the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) by remembering his teachings and inspiring one another to embody his noble qualities such as honesty, fairness, compassion, and respect for others.

Highlighting the qualities of the Prophet Muhammad, Governor Radda said, “Our beloved Prophet was a remarkable Messenger of God who led a life of unwavering piety, humility, sincerity, love for humanity, gratitude, perseverance, generosity, and modesty, among other virtuous moral values.”

He urged Muslims in the country to use the anniversary of the Holy Prophet’s birth as a time to recommit themselves to righteousness and engage in spiritual acts that reflect the true essence of the Islamic faith, both in their actions and character.

Furthermore, Governor Radda stressed the importance of showing love and respect towards individuals of diverse religious beliefs. He encouraged all Nigerians, regardless of their religious affiliations, to adopt virtuous morals and work together patriotically to build a prosperous nation.
