BBNaija: Fans Pitting Housemates Against Each Other Can Jeopardize Their Careers, Says Kiddwaya

Former Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Terseer Waya, popularly known as Kiddwaya, has expressed concern over the actions of fans that promote unhealthy competition among the housemates.

Kiddwaya believes that the fans creating enemies and rivalries between housemates is detrimental to their careers and overall well-being.

In a thought-provoking Instagram post, Kiddwaya cautioned that instead of uplifting their favorite contestants and supporting their ventures, fans often give them a false sense of grandeur.

He further suggested that fostering positive relationships and collaborations within the industry is crucial for the long-term success of former BBNaija housemates.

Kiddwaya’s heartfelt message also served as a reminder to his fellow housemates to stay vigilant and not fall into the traps set by their overzealous fans.

He stated, “Attention!!

“Rather than supporting your people harmoniously and fostering genuine growth, you unintentionally raise false expectations and pit them against their colleagues who could potentially change their lives for the better. This obsession with Big Brother prevents you from promoting and supporting their businesses, ultimately hindering their progress. Many of them are forced to operate in secrecy due to the fear of backlash from their fans. The majority of individuals constantly live in fear of being dragged into unnecessary conflicts. Is it any wonder that several former housemates struggle to find their footing in the industry? Mental health is a serious matter! Acquiring wealth is no simple task; it requires building fruitful relationships, not just online engagement. Fortunately, I have a carefree attitude because I know my worth. However, for those just starting out, they need every support available instead of being burdened with unnecessary enemies. As a result, they are obliged to adopt the enemies you fans have created on their behalf. It’s disheartening to know that many individuals and businesses avoid association with BBN due to the toxic fandom and negative media coverage surrounding the show. In the end, it is the individuals we claim to support who suffer the most.

Going forward, I anticipate the next edition of Big Brother Naija, where I’m sure you’ll find a new favorite to lambast. To my fellow housemates, always employ critical thinking and avoid being swayed by the narrative imposed upon you [sic].”
