EPL: Mourinho is a bad loser – Mikel Obi

Former Nigerian midfielder John Mikel Obi has opened up on what Jose Mourinho is like after dropping video games.

Mikel Obi performed for the Portuguese at Chelsea after the Premier League membership signed him in 2006.

He went on to play 119 video games below Mourinho throughout two totally different spells.

Speaking on the Obi One podcast, Mikel Obi revealed how Mourinho would ignore everybody after a bad outcome.

He mentioned: “With Mourinho, as long as you’re winning, you’re fine.

“As long as you’re playing well, you’re his best friend. As long as everything is going well, you guys are good. I remember that whenever we lost an important game, he would stay upstairs in his office for a couple of days.

“He wouldn’t come down to the training ground; he doesn’t say a word to anybody. You greet him in the morning, and he walks past you. He doesn’t even come to the restaurant. You don’t see him for a couple of days until we go back to the pitch and win again.”
