Caroline Adepoju Confirmed as Nigeria Immigration Service Comptroller General

Mrs Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju has assumed the role of the substantive Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), solidifying her position as the head of the agency.

Adepoju made the announcement while addressing the men and officers of the NIS at a routine parade on Wednesday, exuding confidence and determination in her new role.

During her address, she emphasized that the date for her formal decoration would be publicly announced in due course, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to serve.

“It’s my honor to inform you that, by the grace of God and the support of the current government, I have been confirmed as the substantive Comptroller-General of Immigration,” Adepoju declared with pride and humility.

Notably, Adepoju had previously served as the most senior Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) before assuming the acting CG position, demonstrating her experience and dedication to the NIS.

Following the expiration of her predecessor Isah Jere’s tenure on May 29, 2023, Adepoju took over the leadership of the NIS, marking a new chapter in the agency’s history.
