As conflict reignites in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army has taken steps to ensure the safety of Palestinian residents by declaring new safe zones. The military has released an interactive map in Arabic, outlining evacuation areas in anticipation of further hostilities.
The strategically divided zones aim to help residents familiarize themselves with safety protocols and swiftly move to designated locations if the need arises.
Earlier today, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) launched military operations against Hamas following the failure to reinstate a week-long ceasefire for the third consecutive time. The IDF reported the firing of rockets from Gaza into Israel just before the ceasefire deadline elapsed.
Furthermore, Israel has accused Hamas of violating the agreement by not releasing female hostages as stipulated.
Amidst the resumed warfare, the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza has confirmed the loss of at least 32 lives within the first three hours of the conflict’s resurgence. Israeli airstrikes have once again targeted the strip.
In response to Israel’s claims, Hamas has alleged that Israel rejected all attempts to prolong the truce.
