A bank customer collapsed and died after standing in a long queue at a bank in Agbor, Delta State. The unidentified man had been waiting for hours to collect his Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card at a branch in Ika South Local Government Area, according to the *Tribune*. The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, noting that the victim was not attempting to withdraw cash; he was there solely to pick up his ATM card.

Reports indicate that banking halls across several commercial banks in Lagos, Osun, Ekiti, and other parts of the country have seen minimal activity. Frustrated customers, facing a scarcity of naira notes in the banks, have turned to alternative methods of cash withdrawal. While many banking halls remain empty because of a shortage of funds in bank vaults, large crowds have gathered outside a few banks rumored to be preparing to load their ATMs.
