NNL Clubs Shine in 2024 State Federation Cup Finals Across Nigeria

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has recently praised its clubs for their outstanding performances in the 2024 state Federation Cup. The NNL teams have shown remarkable progress, with a significant increase in the number of clubs securing promotion to the final stages of the competition.

In Lagos State, Inter Lagos stunned the more established Nigeria Premier Football League side, Sporting Lagos, with a convincing 2-0 victory in the semi-finals. Similarly, Ikorodu City displayed their prowess by defeating First Bank FC with a commanding 3-0 scoreline. Both Inter Lagos and Ikorodu City are now set to face off in the final showdown.

Meanwhile, in Abuja, EFCC FC and Sporting Supreme, both NNL teams, will battle it out for the championship title. FC Rocket has also secured a spot in the Akwa Ibom State final, where they will go head-to-head against NPFL’s Akwa United.

Other NNL teams such as Warri Wolves, Coal City, Cynosure, and Ekiti United have also earned their places in the finals of Delta State, Enugu State, Ebonyi, and Ekiti States respectively. Edel FC and Solutions FC have advanced to the Anambra State final, while Beyond Limits will compete against Stormers SC in the Ogun State final. Nasarawa United, Osun United, and ABS have also showcased their talent by reaching the finals in Ogun, Osun, Kwara, and Nasarawa States.

NNL chairman, George Aluo, commended the club administrators for their dedication and success in leading their teams to victory. He emphasized the significant progress and development of the second-tier division, highlighting the efforts of all stakeholders in making the NNL a reputable league.

The highly anticipated finals are scheduled to take place from the 29th to the 31st of March, 2024, across various states in Nigeria. Stay tuned as the NNL clubs battle it out for glory in the prestigious Federation Cup!
