NNL Appeals for Corporate Support to Enhance Second Tier League Operations

The Nigeria National League (NNL) is reaching out to corporate organizations for financial support to ensure the smooth operation of the second-tier league. NNL Chairman, George Aluo, emphasized the importance of funding in advancing the league’s development.

Expressing gratitude to Alhaji Gusau for the opportunity to serve in his current role, Aluo highlighted the challenges faced by the NNL due to limited resources. He called on corporate entities to follow the example set by GTI in supporting the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).

Aluo clarified that the funds requested are not for personal gain but rather to cover expenses such as referee indemnity. By ensuring that referees are well taken care of, teams can compete fairly and achieve better results, similar to the success seen in the NPFL.

The NNL’s plea for financial assistance underscores the importance of collaboration between the private sector and sports organizations in driving the growth of football in Nigeria. With the support of corporate sponsors, the NNL aims to enhance the overall quality of the league and provide more opportunities for teams to excel on the field.
