A devastating bomb attack in Kauri, a village in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, has claimed the lives of 16 people and injured 20 others. In response to the tragedy, the police have imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state to prevent further loss of life and property.

According to Nahum Daso, the police spokesperson in the state, the curfew was imposed following consultation between Governor Babagana Zulum and heads of security agencies in the state. The decision aims to forestall further security breaches in the state and allow security agencies to maintain control and ensure public safety.
