The Regional Sales Director for Lagos/Ogun at Dangote Cement Plc, Mr. Dolapo Alli, announced that the firm’s automobile subsidiary can produce 10,000 trucks annually. He explained that Dangote Sinotruck West Africa Limited assembles a full range of commercial vehicles, including heavy‑duty trucks, medium trucks, light trucks, semi‑trailers, and buses. Alli made these remarks at the 13th Gateway International Trade Fair in Abeokuta, noting that this was the subsidiary’s first participation in the event.

Alli said the company aims to meet the growing demand from sectors such as logistics, construction, and food and beverage, as the government focuses on boosting economic development across the country. “We have the capacity to produce 10,000 trucks each year and are creating thousands of jobs, both direct and indirect,” he added. He emphasized that the Dangote Group is committed to helping Nigeria achieve self‑sufficiency in all the economic sectors where it operates.

He highlighted the group’s long‑standing partnership with trade fairs nationwide, citing the unique role of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in driving economic development. According to Alli, Dangote Industries Ltd regards the Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture as particularly significant because Ogun State hosts one of the largest concentrations of industries in Nigeria and serves as a key corridor for the transportation of goods, services, and people.

“The Gateway International Trade Fair is an avenue for us to connect with customers in the South‑West and other parts of the country,” Alli said. “It feels like a homecoming, as the region is known for innovation and industry. We at Dangote Group and the people of the South‑West share the trait of constantly pushing beyond limits and discovering new levels of success.” He added that, despite their progressive position, the company remains innovative, continually developing strategies that drive business and create value for customers. This is achieved by expanding both the number and quality of products in their portfolio, offering more options and opportunities for clients.

Alli concluded by affirming that the company will continue to innovate, create value, and invest in Nigeria’s future.
