New year: Bauchi governor reiterates commitment to security

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has assured residents of the government’s unwavering commitment to maintaining security across the state.

The governor gave the assurance in his 2025 New Year goodwill message to the people of Bauchi State.

This is as he warned that no criminal elements or their collaborators would find safe haven in the state.

Mohammed in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado on Tuesday highlighted the state government’s continued support for security agencies to ensure the effective handling of any security challenges.

He urged residents to cooperate with security personnel by reporting suspicious activities or individuals, adding that the fight against insecurity is a collective responsibility.

“Our government remains vigilant against the activities of criminal elements. I want to assure you that criminals and their collaborators will have no safe haven in Bauchi State,” the governor declared.

He called on traditional rulers, religious leaders and community stakeholders to join hands in fostering peace and stability, which he described as essential for Bauchi State’s socio-economic development.

Mohammed also outlined his administration’s efforts in improving the lives of citizens despite economic challenges.

He pointed to significant investments in infrastructure, youth empowerment, and social services as evidence of his government’s commitment to ensuring a better future for all residents.
