Elections: Kaduna peace commission hails citizens for maintaining peace

The Kaduna State Peace Commission has hailed the peaceful conduct exhibited by the people of the state during the presidential and National Assembly elections held last Saturday.

Dr. Sale Momale, the commission’s executive vice chairman, in a statement, thanked the citizens of the state for ensuring that the exercise was conducted peacefully.

The statement appealed for the same conduct during the upcoming governorship and State Assembly elections.

The statement urged the people of the state, particularly the youths, party supporters, leaders of political parties and the candidates to abide by the provisions of the law at all times.

It stated that all must eschew all forms of provocation, incitement or non-peaceful reactions arising from the outcome of the elections.
