Ferrari’s disappointing showing at the Brazilian Grand Prix has prompted Chairman John Elkann to urge drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc to concentrate on their on‑track performance and keep public comments to a minimum. Elkann pointed to the team’s recent success in the World Endurance Championship, where Ferrari secured the 2025 title, as evidence of what can be achieved when the whole operation works together.

Both Ferrari drivers failed to finish the Brazilian race. Leclerc retired on lap 6 after a collision involving Oscar Piastri and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, while Hamilton was forced out on lap 39 after sustaining damage in incidents with Carlos Sainz and Franco Colapinto. The double DNF allowed Mercedes and Red Bull to overtake Ferrari in the constructors’ standings, dropping the Scuderia to fourth place.

Elkann expressed disappointment with the recent results, stressing that Ferrari wins when everyone collaborates. He praised the work of the mechanics and engineers but said the broader team must improve. Emphasising the need for focus, he urged the drivers to limit commentary, especially with crucial races still ahead.

Hamilton, who has endured a challenging season with Ferrari, described the experience as a “nightmare.” The seven‑time world champion has gone 21 races without a podium and voiced frustration over the team’s performance. He had hoped to help Ferrari secure second place in the constructors’ championship, but now acknowledges that those chances are fading.

The Brazilian Grand Prix represents a significant setback for Ferrari, and the team will need to regroup and refocus for the remaining events. With Elkann’s call to action, the drivers must set aside disappointment, work together, and aim for stronger results as the season draws to a close.
