Viva One is set to release the second season of Ang Mutya ng Section E, titled The Dark Side, on December 5, 2025. The new season will be released in two installments, with Part One premiering this month and Part Two scheduled for June 11, 2026, after a mid-season break from February to May. Part 1 will consist of 9 episodes, airing every Friday, and will be available to stream on Viva One for viewers in the Philippines. International audiences can watch with English subtitles on YouTube and Dailymotion.
The story is based on Lara Flores’s Wattpad books, written under the pseudonym Eatmore2behappy, and is co-produced by Viva One and Wattpad Webtoon Studios. The first season, which debuted on January 3, 2025, and ran for 16 episodes, is currently available to stream exclusively on Viva One and for free on Dailymotion.
The upcoming season is expected to draw from Flores’s second novel, The Dark Side, and will introduce new characters, darker turns, and long-buried secrets. The core trio, played by Ashtine Olviga, Andres Muhlach, and Rabin Angeles, will face increased tension and challenges as they navigate their relationships and confront their past. The arrival of Ryosuke Sato, played by Alamat’s Taneo, will add bigger risks for the characters, and the introduction of new cast members, including Joko Diaz, Nathalie Hart, and Billy Villeta, will expand the world of Ang Mutya ng Section E.
