APC Forum hails Al-Makura's appointment as North-Central Renewed Hope coordinator

The North‑Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has congratulated former Nasarawa State Governor Tanko Al‑Makura on his appointment as the Renewed Hope Coordinator for the North‑Central region. President Bola Tinubu recently named six zonal coordinators for the Renewed Hope Initiative Committees, a program designed to advance his administration’s developmental vision across the country. The Forum described Al‑Makura’s appointment as well‑deserved, citing his capacity and track record for handling the assignment effectively, and pledged its full support for the ex‑senator. It also called on stakeholders in the North‑Central region—including state governors and party leaders—to cooperate with him.

The coordinators are expected to spearhead strategic engagements, mobilization efforts, and developmental interventions in line with the President’s vision for national renewal. The North‑Central APC Forum thanked President Tinubu for the appointment, stating that he could not have made a better choice. Al‑Makura’s selection is seen as a significant step toward the Forum’s pledge to deliver six million votes for Tinubu in 2027. His extensive experience—including two terms as governor, a term as senator, and roles as a founding member of the APC—makes him an ideal candidate. He has previously chaired the Ekiti State APC Primary Election Committee, the North‑East Zone Reconciliation Committee, and served on the Bisi Akande‑led APC Reconciliation Committee. His political résumé also includes positions in the National Party of Nigeria, the National Republican Convention, and the Peoples Democratic Party.

In addition, the Forum congratulated Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma on his appointment as Director‑General for Party Outreach, Engagement, and Mobilization, as well as Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Ambassador. Uzodinma is expected to work closely with APC leadership and state governors to champion the achievements and programs of the Tinubu administration.

The Forum expressed confidence that those appointed by the President to supervise the Renewed Hope Initiative will discharge their mandates effectively and position the APC for victory in upcoming elections, particularly the 2027 poll. With Al‑Makura’s appointment, the North‑Central APC Forum is optimistic about the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the re‑election of President Tinubu for a second term.
