No fewer than two people were killed in a lone fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday in Bauchi State, while five others sustained varying degrees of injuries. The state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Yusuf Abdullahi, confirmed the accident to our correspondent on Wednesday. Abdullahi said the crash happened at Kahun village along the Darazo–Dukku Road in the Darazo Local Government Area at about 6:36 p.m.

He identified the only vehicle involved as a white commercial Toyota Hiace bus, registration DKA 127 XT, which was carrying 14 male adults. FRSC officials evacuated the victims to Darazo General Hospital for treatment and confirmation. At the hospital, a medical doctor confirmed that two male adults had died. Their bodies were placed in the hospital’s morgue before being released to their relatives.

According to Abdullahi, the crash was caused by a tyre burst.
