Rita Edochie declares Yul’s wife, May as the only legitimate wife

The Nollywood veteran actress, Rita Edochie, has pledged her support for May Yul Edochie, the wife of popular actor, Yul Edochie. Rita Edochie, who is also an aunt to Yul, took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate May on Mother’s Day.

In her post, Rita Edochie wished May a happy Mother’s Day and referred to her as the only legitimate wife of Yul. She ended the post by saying that anyone else claiming to be Yul’s wife is fake.

Earlier in 2022, Yul Edochie had introduced his second wife, Judy Austin, and son to the public. However, this news generated a lot of backlash, especially coming at a time when Yul’s first wife May was mourning the death of their son, Kambilichukwu.

The said video of Judy Austin praising God on Yul Edochie’s Facebook page sparked controversy and criticism, with many calling her out for lacking empathy towards May at a time when she was undergoing immense emotional pain.

Despite these criticisms, Yul Edochie has continued to celebrate his wife, Judy, and their son on social media. However, Rita Edochie’s post seems to put to rest any doubts about who Yul’s legitimate wife is in the eyes of his family.

As the controversy surrounding Yul’s marriage continues to make the rounds on social media, many hope that Yul and his family will find a way to resolve their issues amicably and with empathy for each other’s feelings.
