Adams Oshiomhole Reveals his Blood Pressure Would Have Soared If He Lost Senatorial Bid

In a recent statement, Senator Adams Oshiomhole expressed that if he had lost his senatorial ambition, his blood pressure would have reached dangerously high levels. He made this revelation during a post-inauguration/thank you party held in his honor at his country home of Iyamho, Etsako, Edo State.

Addressing his supporters and well-wishers, Oshiomhole humorously remarked, “If you had voted against me, I don’t know if my blood pressure would now be 240/360, assuming I am still alive.”

He went on to humorously add, “Because the jubilations by my opponent would have been such that they would come and lock my small door and break my small bones, but you said no.”

Highlighting the significance of his victory, Oshiomhole acknowledged that many governors across the country had failed in their bids to become senators, emphasizing the additional shame it would have brought him if he had suffered the same fate.

The senator expressed his gratitude to the people of Edo North for their unwavering support, even after his tenure as governor. He commended them for also voting for President Buhari, noting that the Edo-North district was the only district in Edo State where Buhari emerged victorious.

Furthermore, Oshiomhole pledged his commitment to representing Edo North effectively, emphasizing his responsibility to ensure that the state benefits more from the administration of President Buhari.

The senator acknowledged his gratitude, saying, “There were sitting governors who contested for Senate across the country, and many of them lost. I left office seven years ago, and my people still honored me with victory; how can I thank you enough?”

Oshiomhole expressed his pride in endorsing and supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the campaign, affirming that Tinubu’s victory in each ward of the area demonstrated the people’s trust and confidence in their leadership.

He concluded his speech by assuring the people that Tinubu would bring about a transformative change in Nigeria similar to what he accomplished in Lagos. Oshiomhole confidently stated, “Tinubu said those who say ‘Edo no be Lagos’ will be alive when he becomes president…he will not only make Edo like Lagos, but better than Lagos.”

He humorously added, “So, my people, to those who say ‘Edo no be Lagos,’ please tell them Tinubu is now Commander In-Chief of the Armed Forces.”
