Jigawa assembly screens, approves 14 commissioner-nominees

The Jigawa State House of Assembly on Thursday screened and authorised the appointment of 14 out of the 16 commissioner-nominees despatched by the state governor, Umar Namadi.

The Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, made this announcement in the course of the committee of the entire.

Media Talk Africa experiences that the governor submitted the names of 16 commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening.

The House efficiently screened 14 nominees and confirmed their positions as members of the state govt council.

However, the remaining two nominees, (*14*) Abdulwab and Sagir Musa, weren’t screened.

They have been requested to look earlier than the State House of Assembly for his or her screening after their return from Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj.

Following the affirmation, the House adjourned its sitting till July 18, 2023.
