‘It’s no longer business as usual’ – Gov Buni charges commissioners

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has charged members of the State Executive Council to strive to live above board in the task of moving the State forward.

Buni, through the State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Abdullahi Bego gave the charge while briefing the newsmen on the outcome of his second term inaugural meeting.

“His Excellency used the opportunity to remind every member of the council that every single ministry, department and agency matters and that what we have now is what he calls ‘Team Yobe’.

“Therefore, every member of the council has to roll up their sleeves and key into the task of moving Yobe forward”, Bego said.

According to the Information Commissioner, the Governor underscored the need for members of the executive council to work together to sustain all the gains recorded in the last four years and to build on them.

He quoted the Governor as saying, “All ongoing projects would be completed and commissioned and new projects would be executed.”

He said the Governor also tasked them to try to think outside the box, noting that it was no longer going to be business as usual.
