Mohbad’s Battle with Suicidal Thoughts Revealed by Naira Marley

In a recent interview with social media influencer, Reno Omokri, Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, disclosed that his former label signee, Mohbad, struggled with suicidal thoughts during his lifetime.

According to Naira Marley, there was a particular incident when he received a distress call from Mohbad’s girlfriend while he was in America. The call informed him that Mohbad had locked himself in the toilet and expressed intentions to end his own life.

Concerned for his friend’s well-being, Naira Marley reached out to Mohbad, recording their conversation in an attempt to understand the root of his distress. He reminded Mohbad of his worth, calling him a king, and urged him to find a way to resolve conflicts with his family, assuring him that he had the freedom to make choices without unnecessary stress. Naira Marley’s intervention was aimed at dissuading his friend from pursuing such a tragic course of action.

Since the untimely passing of Mohbad, videos have surfaced portraying the late singer accusing Naira Marley of orchestrating the physical assault he endured. This has led to substantial public outcry on social media.

Addressing the allegations, Naira Marley, in his first interview post-saga, expressed the belief that the media has poisoned public opinion against him. He emphasized that he is willing to return to Nigeria to face investigations into the accusations if his safety can be guaranteed by the security agencies.

“If the security agencies can guarantee my safety, I will be in Nigeria for investigations.” – Naira Marley
