Gov Alia vows to investigate encroachment into state lands, warns offenders

Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia has ordered the Urban Development Board within the state to investigate the encroachment of presidency lands by residents inside Makurdi, the State Capital.

This was contained in a press release by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, on Wednesday in Makurdi.

Governor Alia gave the order when he visited Benue Links, the state-owned transport firm, to examine ongoing work on erosion management and different upkeep work in its workplace premises.

He ordered the board to, throughout the shortest time, establish and summon all those that have constructed on waterways, in addition to those that have illegally possessed authorities lands.

”Those who encroached on lands or constructed on waterways should current their titles and different related paperwork for evaluation and verification, ”he mentioned.

Governor Alia maintained that the state is not going to fold its palms whereas folks endure the greed of some people
