Ogunbote targets victory as Shooting Stars, Insurance renew rivalry in Benin

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote believes his side can get a positive result in the matchday two fixture against Bendel Insurance.

The Oluyole Warriors will clash with Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday (today).

Ogunbote admitted that the game will be a tough one for both sides.

The experienced gaffer said he hopes to capitalise on the psychological effects of the Benin Arsenals ouster from the CAF Confederation Cup.

“It is not going to be an easy match because Insurance is not a pushover side,” he begins in a chat with the club’s media.

“Playing on the continent tells you that they must have recruited a continental team, so we expect nothing less than a very tough opposition.

“Sometimes, when a team loses out in a continental competition, you can take advantage of that because the team could be psychologically affected and we hope we can go there and get a positive result from there.”
