Urgent Call: COSEYL Urges Tinubu to Take Immediate Action as Nigerians Suffer

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has made a heartfelt plea to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to swiftly address the prevailing economic hardship that is currently plaguing the nation.

In a statement released on Saturday by Goodluck Ibem, the President General of COSEYL, the coalition emphasized that now that the legal battles surrounding the 2023 presidential election are over, it is imperative for the president to shift his focus towards finding viable solutions to the existing economic crisis.

COSEYL argued that Nigeria has been engulfed by the devastating scourge of hunger, which has been exacerbated by some unfavorable policies implemented by the current administration.

The coalition further lamented the continuous depreciation of the naira, which has led to the skyrocketing prices of goods and services.

“Despite the serene atmosphere at the Aso Rock Villa, the reality on the ground in our markets remains unchanged.

“President Tinubu must demonstrate a sense of urgency and tackle the exorbitant cost of goods and services in the country by implementing proactive economic measures that will restore the strength of the naira.

“It is of utmost importance that the president acts swiftly to rescue Nigerians from the dire predicaments they are currently facing,” the statement added.
